NanoScopy

Nanoscopy is the world of detail findings at the nanoscale level. It has largely focused on the discovery of new nanostructured living cells details as well as structural details of non-biological materials, the understanding of their core, surface, and interface structures as well as unique properties in these reduced dimensional systems. The nanoscopy techniques will continue to point towards the discovery of new structures/understanding as far as the findings and development of novel materials/devices/their properties. Any forefront nanoscience effort must have extensive, high-end electron microscopy capabilities. Recent technological advances in the field of electron microscopy; especially at the sub-angstrom resolution, atomic force microscope and high performance field emission microscope, have increased the spatial resolution into the sub-Å range, the energy resolution to sub-eV and the sensitivity to detect single atoms.
